Privacy and Cookie Policy

This Policy explains what data may be processed when you use the CloudExplorer website, why it is needed, and what rights users have.

1. General provisions

This Policy applies to cloudexplorer.ru and its subdomains. The website is operated by the CloudExplorer project administration (the “Administration”). By using the site, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy.

Links to third-party resources lead to websites governed by their own policies. The Administration does not determine how those resources process data.

2. Data we may process

  • technical information: IP address, request date and time, requested page URL, referrer, browser and device type, and server response code;
  • information users provide in comments, forms, and inquiries: name, email address, website URL, and message text;
  • account data and interface preferences, only for users who have access to the authenticated WordPress area;
  • search queries and filter parameters submitted to site features.

The Administration does not ask you to provide special categories of personal data, payment details, or identity document information. Do not submit such information through the site's forms.

3. Purposes and legal grounds for processing

Data is used to provide site features, publish and moderate comments, respond to inquiries, save user preferences, diagnose errors, prevent attacks and abuse, maintain technical statistics, and comply with legal requirements.

Depending on the circumstances, processing is based on the user's request or consent, the need to provide a requested feature, the Administration's legitimate interest in securing and improving the site, or an obligation imposed by applicable law.

4. Use of cookies

Cookies are small files that the browser stores on the user's device. The site primarily uses technical WordPress cookies required for security, authentication, checking whether cookies are supported, and saving interface preferences.

The functional ce_language cookie stores the selected site language for up to one year. It is not used for advertising or tracking and is required to preserve language preferences between visits.

Comment cookies

If a user leaves a comment and chooses to save their details, WordPress may store their name, email address, and website in cookies for up to one year. This means they will not need to enter those details again when leaving another comment.

Cookie management

Users can delete cookies, block them entirely, or configure browser exceptions. Blocking essential cookies may prevent authentication, forms, and certain site features from working correctly. As of this revision, the site does not use cookies for personalized advertising.

5. Sharing data with third parties

The Administration does not sell personal data. Limited access may be granted to hosting providers and other technical contractors when necessary to operate and protect the site. Those parties must use the data only to perform the relevant tasks.

Data may also be disclosed in response to a lawful request from a court or government authority, or in other cases expressly provided for by law. If a technical contractor processes data in another country, the transfer is made in accordance with applicable cross-border processing requirements.

6. Data retention and security

Data is retained no longer than necessary for the relevant purpose, backup operations, security, and compliance with mandatory requirements. Comments may be retained until deleted, account data while the account remains active, and technical logs for the rotation period set by the Administration.

Information is protected through access controls, secure HTTPS connections, software updates, security event logging, and backups. No method of transmission or storage provides absolute security, but the Administration takes reasonable organizational and technical measures.

7. User rights

To the extent provided by applicable law, users may request information about processing, access to and correction or deletion of their data, restriction of processing, and data portability; withdraw consent; or object to processing. Users may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

To submit a request, email alex@cloudexplorer.ru. The Administration may request information needed to verify your identity and locate the relevant data. A response will be provided within the period required by applicable law.

8. Children's data

The site is not specifically intended to collect data from children. If a legal guardian believes that a child submitted personal data without appropriate consent, they may contact the Administration to request its deletion.

9. Changes to this policy

The Administration may update this Policy when the site's features, the services it uses, or legal requirements change. The current version is always available at this address; the revision date appears at the beginning of the document.
