About the company

Reg.Cloud is the cloud division of Reg.ru, providing infrastructure for websites, applications and enterprise systems. The platform combines virtual and dedicated servers, managed databases, Kubernetes, S3, GPU, private clouds, VMware and solutions for 1C. According to the official company page, the infrastructure is hosted in ten data centers in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Samara.

Primary use case: a gradual move from domains, hosting or a single VPS to full cloud infrastructure within the familiar Reg.ru ecosystem. The provider reports more than 27,000 cloud customers.

Russian locations

Facilities in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Samara are useful for projects with data-localization requirements.

Broad technology stack

The catalog includes IaaS, bare metal, DBaaS, Kubernetes, storage, GPU, VMware, VDI and industry-specific solutions.

Unified ecosystem

Domains, DNS, websites, servers, certificates and cloud resources can all be managed through one group of companies.

Business support

Migration assistance, custom configurations and a dedicated account manager are available for complex projects.

The domain count in the provider card describes the wider Reg.ru ecosystem, not the number of Reg.Cloud customers. Network metrics refer to the group’s AS197695; its address space and peering relationships should not be treated as resources belonging to one particular cloud region.

Grants and bonuses

Grant and free tier

Reg.Cloud offers businesses a grant of up to 500,000 rubles for cloud infrastructure. The final amount and set of eligible resources are determined after the application is reviewed.

  • The grant can be used to launch or develop a project on cloud servers, databases and other services listed in the current rules.
  • Eligibility requirements, terms and duration should be checked on the official program page.
  • A separate Free Tier provides a limited set of cloud resources at no charge for six months.
  • The Free Tier and grant are separate programs; their limits and benefits should not be combined without confirmation from the provider.
  • Short-term promotions and cashback offers change more often than the core rates and are published under special offers.
05

Pricing policy

How pricing works

Cloud servers are billed hourly, with a monthly estimate shown for reference. The final amount depends on vCPU count, RAM, disk type and size, region, backups, public IP addresses, operating system and licenses.

  • In the official configurator, the HP C1-M1-D10 plan with 1 vCPU, 1 GB RAM and 10 GB NVMe is listed from 560.57 ₽ per month or 0.77 ₽ per hour.
  • The HP C2-M2-D40 configuration with 2 vCPU, 2 GB RAM and 40 GB NVMe is listed from 1,381.89 ₽ per month or 1.89 ₽ per hour.
  • The documentation states that automated backups add 20% to the server price, while snapshot storage costs 5 ₽ per GB per month; see the backup terms.

Prices are a snapshot taken at the time of review. Backup rules in the documentation may differ for newer product lines, so verify the checkout total before ordering and account separately for traffic, IP addresses, licenses and backup storage.

Reviews and operational profile

Infrastructure and operations

Reg.Cloud reports ten data centers in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Samara and states that they comply with Tier III requirements. Multiple Russian facilities provide a basis for distributing components, but service availability and the ability to build a resilient architecture must be verified for the chosen regions. The current infrastructure overview is available on the company page.

Localization

Russian facilities suit projects that require data to remain in the country and prefer contracting with a local legal entity.

Hybrid approach

Cloud machines can be combined with bare metal, private cloud, VMware and custom infrastructure.

The Reg.ru ecosystem

It is especially convenient for organizations already using the group's domains, DNS, hosting or other services.

Developing automation

An API and Terraform are available, although current coverage does not yet extend to the entire catalog.

What reviews indicate

Positive signals

Users frequently mention the broad service selection, unified account, straightforward management and the ability to handle domains and infrastructure through one supplier. Hosters.ru lists approximately 300 reviews, while Hostings.info has several hundred.

What to investigate

Critical reviews mention price changes, automatic renewals, the time taken to resolve complex requests and isolated periods of downtime. A further collection of opinions is available on IRecommend.

Most public reviews cover the entire Reg.ru group, including domains and traditional hosting, rather than Reg.Cloud alone. They are therefore useful as signals about support and billing, but not as a direct measure of cloud-platform performance.

07

Strengths and conclusion

Bottom line: Reg.Cloud is a practical choice for Russian projects that need a combination of cloud and dedicated resources, local facilities and the ability to manage domains, websites and infrastructure in one ecosystem.

  • Strengths: a broad catalog, Russian locations, combined IaaS and bare metal, solutions for 1C and business workloads, a grant of up to 500,000 rubles and a free tier.
  • Before moving production: verify regional service availability, actual Terraform coverage, the complete cost of backups and traffic, and the SLA terms.
  • Practical approach: deploy a test configuration through the Free Tier or grant, measure IOPS and network latency, and perform a trial restoration from backup.
